MBC 2, formerly Channel 2, is a free-to-air 24-hour movie channel owned by the MBC Group. The channel started to broadcast as a satellite TV channel since 2002. During its debut, it broadcasted movies and television programmes subtitled in Arabic, but after the launch of MBC 4 the channel became specialised in movies only.
